Weather The Storm
We help men build their life on The Rock.
Three Marks of Manhood
-
Men should be leaders in their homes, businesses, and communities, walking in righteousness according to the Word of God. Leadership requires a lifetime commitment to spiritual growth and the courage to stand up for what’s right. Our mission: make disciples of Christ and equip men to do the same.
-
Men should be responsible stewards over creation and their homes. How can one be a good steward of something he knows nothing about? Our mission: develop men’s ability to thrive in the outdoors so they may encounter the Creator, steward over natural resources, and provide for their families.
-
Men should watch over those in their care. This requires a disciplined mind, a willingness to sacrifice, and a steadfastness in watching over their wards. Too many men fail to recognize threats and prepare their loved ones. Our mission: Educate men to recognize perils and equip them to protect those in their care.

Scripture: The Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. It is holy without any mixture of error and therefore completely trustworthy and authoritative. The Bible is about God but for us. It is given to us by God to point us to Jesus.
God: There is only one God. God exists in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, sovereign, and eternal. God is all knowing and all powerful. God is the creator of all things who is worthy of worship from His creation.
God The Father: God the Father reigns over all creation. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God the Father is full of grace and truth. He is the father of all who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. His attitude is fatherly towards all.
God The Son: Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus is fully God yet fully man. Jesus is perfect and yet chose to die a sinner’s death to redeem all who come to him in faith. He rose from the dead with a glorified body, ascended to heaven, and is at the right hand of the Father. Jesus will return to earth to gather his church and judge the world.
God The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He illuminates truth to the world and convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit seals and lives in all Christians. He comforts, teaches, empowers, and guides us in truth. He gives spiritual gifts to all Christians to serve Jesus’ church.
Man: Man was created in the image of God. God created male and female and set them above all other creations on earth. God created man perfect but with free will. Through choice and nature man has rebelled against God in sin. Only the grace of God found in Jesus Christ can reconcile man to God.
Salvation: As sinful people we need a savior. Our sin has separated us from God. We do not have the ability to bridge that gap in our own strength. By grace, through faith in the perfect life, sacrificial death, and life-giving resurrection of Jesus we can have eternal life.
Baptism: Baptism is an ordinance of the church. We believe and practice believer’s baptism by immersion. This act is a step of obedience to Jesus and represents the believer’s new life as a follower of Jesus.
The Church: The church is a spiritual family of baptized believers that partner together to worship, serve, and make disciples of Jesus. The church practices the two ordinances (Lord’s Supper; Baptism) and submits to the biblically qualified, called, and approved leadership that Jesus puts in place. The two New Testament offices of leadership are pastors and deacons.
